Posted on April 30, 2018
We have already talked a lot about the brand new 2019 Ford F-150 diesel. Powered by a turbodiesel Power Stroke V6 engine, it’s the talk of the town in the pickup segment with plenty of buyers patiently waiting to get their hands on Ford’s new powerful F-150. Here’s a quick look at what you need to know about the 2019 Ford F-150 diesel.
It has a lot of power
First things first, the 2019 Ford F-150 diesel has a lot of power. In fact, with 250 horsepower and 440 pound-feet of torque, there’s very little you won’t love about the new F-150 diesel. You’ll have to add an extra $8,200 to the price of a 3.3-liter V6 engine to get the diesel, but most will agree it will be more than worth it.
When you replace the 2.7-liter EcoBoost engine by the diesel, the price increases by a more than acceptable $ 7,500. Finally, if you want to have the turbodiesel engine instead of the 5.0-liter V8, expect an additional $5,650.
In other words, the new diesel engine will be available in basically every trim and configuration. It’s designed for those that do not want to compromise when it comes to efficiency with an average fuel consumption rating of just 10.7 liters per 100 kilometers. It can also tow 5,171 kilos, more than any other diesel pickup in the same segment.
