For the fourth consecutive year, the Ford Mustang is the best-selling sports coupe in the world. The good news came on the day Ford celebrated the 55th anniversary of the Ford Mustang on April 17th.

The Ford Mustang saw its global sales increase to 113,066 units sold in 2018 and saw its share of the global sports car segment increase to 15.4 percent. The new Ford Mustang Bullit helped drive sales, but the improvements made at the end of 2017 also played a major role. The Mustang is not only the best-selling sports coupe in Canada, its also the best-selling sports coupe in the United States and in Canada as well. More than 75 % of the Mustang sales happen here and in the US while in other parts of the world, the Mustang is seen as an almost exotic vehicle with a very loyal following.
